Space Recourses: Reality or Myth?

Planetary Recourses, a new company that have recently appeared, plans to mine mineral recourses from asteroids. This company focuses its attention on both space exploration and mineral recourses. The new project is predicted to multiply global GDP by trillions of dollars.
The Google executives and billionaires Larry Page and Erik Schmidt will provide investments into this space exploration project which they found rather interesting. Together with them Ross Perot Jr. (Perot Group Chairman), Dr. Charles Simonyi (former Chief Software Architect in Microsoft) and James Cameron (Avatar and Titanic movie director) decided to take part in the project.
Planetary Recourses project is going to not only to multiply the global GDP but it will also create a new industry and a new definition of mineral recourses.
The space exploration start-up was formally announced on Tuesday morning, April, 24. The investors truly believe in this project and they are waiting it to pay off. It is planned that one asteroid will bring trillions of dollars of mineral recourses. According to one of professor at the City University of NY Michio Kaku such projects attract private enterprises. Kaku believes that entrepreneurs are ready to invest into those projects which the government consider a failure. The projects like Planetary Recourses need investors with big pockets. Only they will be able to assist to create such start-ups.
Google invested a lot of money into different projects, development of driverless cars or Google X lab that is to name some, but this time Schmidt and Page will put their money to this crazy start-up.
