Chinese Developers Built 20% Faster Mobile Browser

The biggest search engine in China, Baidu, has recently launched a mobile version of its browser for smartphone owners that could be perceived as a serious competitor for the popular mobile browser Opera as well as for Apple’s Safari browsers and Google’s Chrome. The developers state that the Baidu Mobile Browser works 20% faster than other mobile browsers. According to the information presented before the official launch of the mobile browser, it is a bit similar to Google Chrome’s approaches, providing Asian mobile users with a number of convenient features like watching video without employing any external applications, supporting WebSocket and Web Notifications technologies and access to location-based service.
