Given the modern level of mobility of information, there are numerous sources people can get it from. However, not all of them are the same, differing by popularity, scope, auditory, and last but definitely not the least – trust. A recent study called 2013 Edelman Trust Barometer shows that in terms of trust search engines are ahead social media when it comes to news and information. Notably, consumers worldwide tend to put more trust in traditional media than in social media. Moreover, no information source dominates the media world as the most trusted, which suggests that the consumers verify the trustworthiness and accuracy of the data they receive from media.

Graphic Search has come up with a new feature that would allow users to extensively search the web staying put at Facebook. This is a joint venture between Facebook and Bing which would involve Bing results popping up in Facebook searches when Facebook cannot internally manage to search or the users specifically asks for a complete web search. The search results would also have social information and the associated Facebook pages displayed.
